Most Expensive Guitar - This Fender Standard Series Stratocaster, signed by music legends, was auctioned off in 2005 to aid victims of the 2004 tsunami disaster. It sold for $2.7 million to the Qatar royal family who had originally bought it for $1 million and donated it to the tsunami charity (making the total price paid for the guitar a staggering $3.7 million!). Signees of the guitar included Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, Brian May, Jimmy Page, David Gilmour, Jeff Beck, Pete Townsend, Mark Knopfler, Ray Davis, Liam Gallagher, Ronnie Wood, Tony Iommi, Angus and Malcolm Young, Paul McCartney, Sting, Ritchie Blackmore, Def Leppard, and Bryan Adams (coordinator of the project).
